PURPOSE: To obtain a comparatively compact machine press, by providing a 2- sheet feed detecting device and a cushion device freely ascendable and descendable by pressurized oil, on a bolster freely ascendable and descendable, and providing a knockout device operated by pressurized oil, in a slide ascending and descending mechanically.

CONSTITUTION: In a slide 5 which is fastened with a punch and ascends and descends by driving a motor, a knockout device 8 operated by pressurized oil through a piston 31 of a cylinder 30 is provided, and after blank-working, a product remaining behind in the punch is pushed down. In a bolster 6 supported by a spring which is not shown in the figure, guided by a guide pin 33 and provided so as to be freely ascendable and descendable against a machine body 2, a cusion device 9 consisting of a projection 35 conforming to a rod 34, a piston 38, a cover 39, etc. is provided, and a rod, a pin, etc. of a lower die fastened onto the bolster 6 are energized. Also, on the bolster 6, a device for electrically detecting 2 sheet feed, which is not shown in the figure is provided, and it is operated as a mechanism for stopping a press automatically.
