Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten the temperature rise time of a heating roller at low running cost.
CONSTITUTION: In the heat application to raise the temperature of a heat pipe type heating roller provided with a roller body 5 having the structure of a heat pipe 7 and revolvable on its axis, a heat accumulating body 12 is preheated to raise its temperature to near the temperature which the roller body 5 is required to attain and the heat is transmitted from the heat accumulating body 12 to the roller body 5 upon start of the temperature rise of the roller body 5.
