PURPOSE: To reduce the labor and the concentration of attention required for the manual operation for delivering a cut turf piece while preventing the drop of the piece through a gap between a turf-holding table and a chute.

CONSTITUTION: A chute 9 for sliding a cut turf piece is connected in a vertically movable manner to the rear part of a machine body furnished with a turf- storage part 2. A turf-holding table 11 for temporarily receiving and holding cut turf pieces 5 transferred from the storage part 2 to the sliding face of the chute by manual operation is placed near the front end of the top of the chute 9. The gap S between the turf-holding table 11 and the chute 9 is closed with a rubber sheet 21 supported by attaching the upper part of the sheet 21 to the turf-holding table 11 and placing the lower part on the sliding face of the chute in a freely movable state.
