Abstract:
PURPOSE: To decrease self discharge in a dope-undope type battery by using carbon mold washed with a volatile solvent as an electrode of an electrochemical battery.
CONSTITUTION: A carbon molded electrode washed by dipping it in a volatile solvent such as acetone and dried is used in an electrochemical battery which generates electromotive force by doping and undoping to its electrode. This electrode is immersed in an organic solvent containing an electrolyte to form an organic battery. By this washing, organic substances adsorbed on the surface of the electrode are removed. Therefore, self discharge is suppressed and voltage fall is prevented.
