PURPOSE: To easily position a side fence and prevent dislocation of the position by using a high frictional member for either the lock means of the side fence or the corresponding lock means on a paper sheet tray, and regulating the spreading/narrowing operation of the side fence by a lock releasing means provided with an elastic means.
CONSTITUTION: A rubber plate 4 is arranged in parallel with a guide groove 14, on the paper sheet tray 1 fitted to the side of a device main body 6. Meanwhile, a releasing knob 3 is fitted to the outside of a projection member 2 constituting a side fence so as to position over the rubber plate 4. The releasing knob 3 on the side of the projection member is journaled with the shaft 9 of the projection member 2, and always pressed against the paper sheet tray by a plate spring 8. When the releasing knob 3 is anticlockwise pressed against the pressing force, a rubber piece 7 stuck to the releasing knob 3 is released from sticking to the rubber plate 4. Thereafter, the projection member 2 is slidably moved so as to conform to the size of a paper sheet in use. Consequently, it can be easily slidably moved without dislocation.
