PURPOSE: To provide a waste material melting furnace capable of applying no influence to a surrounding area even in case of a fire and performing an effective utilization of heat of the furnace under a less mounting area and cost.

CONSTITUTION: There are provided a cylindrical drying machine E slantly passing through a melting furnace 1 and rotatably supported at the melting furnace 1; a dried item feeding port 8 arranged at an upper part of the drying machine 6; a dried item outlet port 18 arranged at a lower part of the drying machine 6 and feeding the dried item within the drying machine 6 into the melting furnace 1; and a heat recoverying pipe 16 arranged around the drying machine 6. As the dried item is fed into the drying machine 6 through the dried item feeding inlet port 8, the dried items are agitated and mixed under rotation in the drying machine 6, uniformly dried while descending within the drying machine 6, the dried items are fed into the melting furnace 1 trough the dried item outlet 18 and melted.
