Abstract:
PURPOSE: To set even the measuring property of a density sensor side within an appropriate extent in accordance with the condition of an image to be measured and to improve an output image by deciding an image forming condition of subsequent recordings based on the density of a toner image and the density of a base surface part detected by the density sensor. CONSTITUTION: Every color toner density is detected by estimating the image on a photoreceptor drum 2, or on a transfer drum 3 by the density sensor 9. By controlling a recording condition (developing bias) at every recording process by using the detection result, the mixing of toner capable of obtaining the optimum image quality is accomplished. Then, the toner image transferred to the transfer drum 3 is measured by a reflected light quantity measuring system including the density sensor 9, and developing bias voltage for every color is controlled in accordance with the level of the detected light quantity, then, the image is synthesized while always keeping every color toner density in a stable state.
