Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make efficient a data processing and a data transmission by forming plural rectangular areas from a basic block extracted with the picture area in an arbitrary form, processing the whole dots between the rectangular area and the picture area to the same other level, and respectively block- encoding the plural rectangular areas. CONSTITUTION:A basic block BL consisting of 8X8 dots arranged in a matrix like including the picture area in the arbitrary form is extracted, and plural rectangular areas RR0 to RR5 consisting of the extracted basic blocks BL are formed. Further, the whole dots between the formed plural rectangular areas RR0 to RR5 and a picture area IR are made into the same other level, and the processed plural rectangular areas are respectively block-encoded. Thus, the data processing and the data transmission are made efficient.
