PURPOSE: To carry a transfer material without a positional deviation and to obtain a transferred image without color slurring at the time of a multitransfer by attracting the transfer material to a carrying belt means with electrostatic force.
CONSTITUTION: When dielectric grains are dispersed and incorporated on a conductive carrying belt means (carrying/transferring belt) 11, it is electrified and the transfer material is attracted by the electrostatic force to be carried. In other words, when the carrying belt means 11 is electrified, a capacity to hold a charge is enhanced by the action of the dielectric grains and strong electrostatic force is exerted. The transfer material is attracted by the force. When the charge holding effect can be continued for a few seconds for conveying a paper sheet P, it is good enough. Moreover, carbon grains, etc., are dispersed/incorporated and electric conductivity, that is, electric resistance in a thickness direction per sq. centimeter is 106-1012Ω.cm2 so that the charge is extinct without being permanently held on the carrying belt means 11. Thus, a destaticization process is eliminated and the transferred image not having the color can slurring be obtained.
