Abstract:
PURPOSE:To expand a dynamic range by replacing a saturated pixel signal by a non saturated pixel signal of a pixel with shorter exposure time when a saturated pixel signal is detected from one pixel signal with long exposure time. CONSTITUTION:The knee characteristic processing of a short-time exposure signal S1 to be outputted with an arbitrary phase difference is performed by a camera signal processing circuit 40, inputted to a switch circuit 90 with the signal component equivalent to the saturated signal level added. Among signals stored in a memory 60, a long time exposure signal S2 having the same address with the scanning line of the short-time exposure signal S1 is outputted from the memory 60. Usually, the switch circuit 90 is connected to the long-time exposure signal S2 to be outputted from a D/A converter 70, but connected to the short-time exposure signal S1 to be outputted from a camera signal processing circuit 40 by means of a pulse from a signal control circuit 80 when the output of the memory 60 is a saturated signal. As the result, a signal with its dynamic range expanded can be obtained from the switch circuit 90.
