Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of information input by providing a function keyboard which selects modes, an input tablet from which coordinate information is inputted, and a recognizing means which recognizes pattern information inputted from the input tablet with a pen. CONSTITUTION:Hand-written patterns are inputted with a tablet pen 2 to input essential information. In case of input of formatted information, the tablet pen 2 is operated with one hand and keys on a function keyboard 3 are operated with fingers of the other hand to input formatted information by input of keys on the keyboard and input of hand-written patterns with the tablet pen 2. A control part 4 detects the key input operation of the key board 3 and outputs function designating information to line 101. A character cutting-out part 5 which cuts out characters or the like from input coordinates of the penpoint inputted from an input tablet 1, up/down information of the penpoint, etc., a dictionary part 6 where character patterns or the like which are the reference of recognition are stored, and a recognition processing part 7 which compares input information with reference pattern information to recognize input information and outputs the result to a line 108 are provided.
