Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for recognition of the area of a hard disk in the middle of installation for an operating system and to improve user interface by permitting a recognition means to recognize the area after the hard disk is initialized and the area is secured. CONSTITUTION:An information processing system consists of a hard disk selection processing part 1-2 selection-processing the hard disk, a hard disk initialization/area security processing part 1-3 initializing the hard disk and securing the area, a hard disk recognition processing part 1-4 executing the recognition processing of the hard disk, a file copy processing part 1-5 copying a file and a start environment setting processing part 1-6 executing the setting processing of a start environment. Thus, the area after the hard disk is initialized and that the area is secured is recognized by the recognition means 1-4. Thus, the operating system need not recognize the area of the hard disk, and the system is eliminated from being restarted at the time of installing the system in the hard disk, whereby user interface can be improved.
