Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide an infrared detector that is usable for both of radiant energy detection and human mobile detection. CONSTITUTION:In this infrared detector 1, a chopper control circuit 6 makes a chopper 4 perform an open operation, not interrupting an infrared ray L as long as the specified time, and an intermittent operation, interrupting it in a periodic manner alternately via a chopper-drive circuit 5. A phtoelectric type infrared detecting element 2 detects a human movement in a period of the open operation while it detects a radiant energy detection in a period of the intermittent operation.
