Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain a highly precise drawing input and to attain a high speed input without restricting the input speed, as well by using an insulating metallic film for a contact part with an input probe. CONSTITUTION:For the input, the input probe 12 is brought into contact with the insulating metallic film 8. A charge is accumulated in a capacity between the insulating metallic film 8 of a part which is brought into contact with the input probe 12, and a conductive metallic film 2 which is confronted with the film 8, and a position can be detected by detecting a potential difference between an X-coordinate read electrode 4 and a Y-coordinate read electrode 6, which occurs by the charge, in a circuit having a high input impedance. Thus, highly precise characters and graphics can be inputted since a voltage can be impressed on the static capacity of a micro size, which is formed between a conductive substrate and the insulating metallic film, and an input state can be held (stored), whereby a high speed input processing is attained.
