PURPOSE: To obtain a television receiver in which a labor of a service man is relieved on the occurrence of a fault and the cost for the repair is reduced.

CONSTITUTION: The television receiver 1 is provided with a tuner circuit 2, an IF circuit 4, a video signal processing circuit 5, a display circuit 6, an audio signal processing circuit 8, and a memory 13 storing data relating to each operation of the each circuit above. The write/read of data to/from the memory 13 is controlled by a microcomputer 14. The microcomputer 14 connects to the memory 13, a key operation section 15, the tuner circuit 2, the IF circuit 4, the video signal processing circuit 5, the display circuit 6, the audio signal processing circuit 8 and a bus line terminal 16 via a bus line 17 respectively, and the bus line terminal 16 is a terminal that transfers data read from the memory 13 to an external device and receives an external instruction.
