Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the information for forming the foundation of driver's judgement by installing a sensor for observing the distance from the preceding vehicle and a means which sends out the program for outputting alarm and the information for judging the correctness of changing the traveling road when the car speed information is inputted and the metered distance becomes shorter than an allowable value. CONSTITUTION:A front part sensor 1, left side part sensor 2, right side part sensor 3, and a rear part sensor 4 observe the respective distance from a preceding vehicle, left and right traveling vehicles, and a succeeding vehicle, and input the values into a program calculating circuit 6. Besides, the car speed detected by a car speed sensor 5 is inputted into the program calculating circuit 6, Then, a calculating means 62 calculates the correctness of changing the traveling road according to the inputted car speed and the distance inputted from the sensors 1-4. Accordingly, each between- vehicle distance is compared with the allowable value of the detected car speed, and in case of the allowable value or more, the change of the traveling road is permitted, while in case of the allowable value or less, the change of the traveling road is disabled. Then, the result is outputted through a sending-out means 63, and then displayed on an optical display means 72, and outputted in voice by a voice display means 71.
