PURPOSE: To provide the multi-functions of a horizontal press machine by providing a pressure-applying cylinder which is horizontally arranged on a table, and a turret head where a unit die can be mounted in a horizontaly turnable manner.

CONSTITUTION: A pressure-applying cylinder 5 is horizontally arranged on a table 3 of a horizontal multi-functional press machine 1, and a turret head 17 having positioning pins 25 and positioning holes 24 is provided on the motion line through a turret rotary shaft 16 in a horizontally turnable manner. A mounting part to attach/detach the unit die and a mounting part where a tool attachment can be attached/detached are provided on the respective mounting surfaces of the turret head. This arrangement saves the setup operation in presetting the unit die, the pressure-applying cylinder 5 can prevent the turning of the turret head 17, and the generality of the press machine can be increased.
