Abstract:
PURPOSE:To adjust a damping force correctly by making the area of a variable orifice made with a combination of a constant orifice and a needle proportional to the needle movement. CONSTITUTION:A rotation operation shaft 9 is screwed into the hollow section of a piston rod with a thread section at its upper end, and the lower end of the rotation operation shaft 9, i.e., a needle 34 faces a constant orifice 30 provided with a tapered hole 33 opened in a tapered shape. The tapered hole 33 and needle 34 form a gap (a), thereby resulting in a gap area nearly proportional to the axial direction displacement of the rotation operation shaft 9, and the damping force can be adjusted correctly and easily.
