Abstract:

PURPOSE: To facilitate the regulation of the hardening reactional rate and enable the preparation of a water glass composition into a one-pack type.

CONSTITUTION: This water glass composition is obtained by using zinc borate as a hardener for a water glass composition consisting essentially of an alkali metallic silicate. Thereby, since the zinc borate has high reactivity, the reactional rate of the water glass can be regulated within a wide range by regulating the addition amount of zinc borate. The water glass composition can be prepared into a one-pack type by reducing the amount of zinc borate.
