PURPOSE: To enable use of photosensitive material low in heat resistance and diminish deterioration due to heat by containing liquid at least in a part of space in a photosensitive drum and radiating heat by this.
CONSTITUTION: Liquid 55 for cooling the drum is contained in the photosensitive drum 9. A roll-shaped intermediate transferring body 1 has a heater 17 inside. The drum 9 is heated by the heater, and temperature of the liquid 55 is also raised. Water is used as the liquid 55, and the water passes through the inner wall face as a passage. The liquid 55 is sent into the drum by a pipe 51, and after cooling the drum in the drum, discharged from a pipe 52. Accordingly, the drum is sufficiently cooled by the liquid 55. Instead of discharging, the liquid 55 can be circulated again to the drum 9 after lowering the temperature by heat radiating fins.
