PURPOSE: To obtain a hair tonic having excellent hair tonic effect such as hair- falling preventing effect and hair restoration effect by using a fibroblast growth factor as an active component.
CONSTITUTION: A fibroblast growth factor, preferably a base-type fibroblast growth factor is used as an active component and compounded in an amount of 0.000001-0.1wt.% based on the total hair tonic. The hair tonic is properly compounded with other components such as vasodilator, amino acid, vitamin, dermatic function promoting agent, female hormone preparation, antibacterial agent, refreshing agent, oil, polyhydric alcohol, surfactant, perfumery and antioxidant. The agent is formed in a form applicable to the skin such as liquid, milky lotion or ointment and directly applied or scattered to the skin at a daily rate of 0.01-1,000μg/1kg body weight in 1-4 divided doses. It is applicable in the fields of pharmaceuticals, quasi-drugs and cosmetics.
