PURPOSE: To shorten a leaflet carrying time by allowing two kinds of leaflets to stand by in a superposed state, and feeding them to a next process as they are by means of a leaflet stopper.
CONSTITUTION: Two leaflet hoppers 20a and 20b are respectively connected to individual carrying paths 91 and 92, and the leaflet is fed in order to a joining and carrying device 94 from the leaflet on top while passing through the individual carrying paths 91 and 92. A nip roller pair 98 constituted of a driving roller 120 and a pinch roller 121 is provided on the entrance side of the joining and carrying path 94, and the leaflet stopper 99 is provided on the downstream side of the roller pair 98 in a state where it can appear and disappear. When the leaflet stopper is in the joining and carrying path 94, the nip roller pair 98 is in a nipping releasing condition, so that the leaflet is fed to a position where the leaflet hits against the leaflet stopper 99 with weak force. When the leaflet stopper 99 retreats from the joining and carrying path 94, the pinch roller 121 is pressed down to be in a nip condition, so that two leaflets are fed in the superposed condition.
