Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a golf club excellent in flying distance and wear resistance.
CONSTITUTION: A plate layer obtained by using nickel as a base alloy and uniformly including ceramic fine particles in the alloy is applied to at least the face surface of a metal head in a thickness of 10-30μm. Thus, the toughness and hardness assisting the resiliency when a ball hits the face surface are provided by the ceramic of the plate layer, and wear resistance is also provided. Further, the wear resistance contributing to the prevention of a flaw generated by the strong contact of the sole surface with lawn, earth and sands is provided.
