PURPOSE: To prevent a fuel-air mixture from flowing back into the atmosphere and accelerate the atomization of fuel under agitation, by a method wherein a rotary body is provided on the downstream side of a supercharger in an auxiliary intake passage, and a communicating passage for jetting supercharge air into a main intake passage is provided in an air bleed passage.
CONSTITUTION: An intake system for the engine E is comprised of the main intake passage 10 and the auxiliary intake passage 11 in which the supercharger 17 is provided. The rotary body 21 driven synchronously with the engine E is provided on the downstream side of the supercharger 17. At the injection timing of a fuel injection valve 15, the communicating passage 41 communicates the air bleed passages 51, 52 to each other, whereby the supercharge air on the upstream side of the rotary body 21 is bled to the vicinity of the fuel injection valve 15 provided in the main take passage 10. Accordingly, the fuel-air mixture can be prevented from flowing back into the atmosphere, and the atomization of the fuel under agitation can be accelerated in the entire operating range.
