PURPOSE: To provide an electrophotographic device in which a cleaning member is brought into contact with a fixing roller only when the device is operated and separating the cleaning member from the fixing roller when the device is stopped with a comparatively simple mechanism.

CONSTITUTION: The cleaning member 24 is loaded so as to be oscillatable between a position where the cleaning member 24 is brought into press contacted with the fixing roller 21 and a position where the member 24 is separated from the roller 21, and the cleaning member 24 is usually held at the separation position. A drive transmitting means for transmitting a driving force linked with the operation/standstill of the device through a hydraulic torque transmitting mechanism is connected to the cleaning member 24, and the cleaning member 24 is moved from the separation position to a press-contact position when the device is operated.
