Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a delicate motion vector correction by correcting the delay time of an image signal through a motion vector correcting means having an integer part correcting means and a decimal part correcting means. CONSTITUTION:A motion vector signal VCT1 which is transmitted is converted to the motion vector signal VCT2 of the same clock rate as an image signal by a motion vector transforming means 7. Subsequently, by the integer part correcting means 9 and the decimal part correcting means 10 of a motion vector correcting means 14 corresponding to an integer part and a decimal part, respectively of the signal VCT2, the delay time of the image signal which becomes an object of interpolation is corrected finely and supplied to an inter-field interpolation filter 8. According to such constitution, a Multiple Sub-Nyquist Sampling Encoding (Muse) encoder which can execute a fine motion vector correction is obtained.
