Abstract:
The invention relates to a magnetic bearing cell (1) comprising rotating bearing parts having at least two disks which are fixed on a shaft and each provided with one ring-shaped permanent magnet (5, 6, 7), as well as fixed bearing parts which include annular disks (27, 32) which protrude into the gap(s) (26, 31) embodied between the rotating disks, pole elements (16, 17) and means for an active axial adjustment (coil system (34) controlled by a sensor (36)). The aim of the invention is to provide a magnetic bearing cell with a simpler and more compact structure. To this end the coil system is a cylindrical coil (34) which encloses the annular disk stack consisting of rotating and fixed disks and whose length substantially corresponds to the height of said stack.
