PURPOSE: To constitute a reaction plate from a magnetic core part having comb- shaped teeth on the upper surface and an inductor part in framed lattice form and permitting said plate to be used in common to both linear induction motor and linear step motor.
CONSTITUTION: A reaction plate 1 arranged in the lower part of a conveyance truck 50 which is equipped with an article loading base 51 and travels freely along a rail 10 is built up with a magnetic core part 2 made of magnetic material such as pure iron etc. and an inductor part 5 made of non-magnetic conductive material such as copper etc. Said magnetic core part 2 has integrally- formed comb-shaped teeth 3 on the upper surface and each groove part 4 between the contiguous comb-shaped teeth 3. Said inductor part 5 is constituted of a rectangular frame part 6 and a lattice part 7 in square-rod form which is arranged between the major sides of said frame part 6 and fitted into the groove part. The above-described reaction plate 1 constitutes a linear motor, in cooperation with each primary-side magnetic core 20, 30 for linear induction motor and linear step motor respectively.
