Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten the time needed for conversion carried out at a device of the transmission side and at the same time to prevent the omission of data even when the data once transmitted is called back to the transmission side again by converting only the convertible part into a common picture format with the inconvertible part kept as it is and transmitted as a proper image format of a device respectively. CONSTITUTION:In a device 11 of the transmission side, only the convertible part of the medical image data is converted into a common image format with the inconvertible part kept as it is and transmitted as a proper image format of the device 11 respectively. Then the medical image data are outputted. Meanwhile a device 12 of the reception side receives the medical image data from the device 11 and stores them. Then the device 12 processes the medical image data with use of only the part of the common image format. Thus it is possible to shorten the time needed for the conversion carried out at the device 11 and also to prevent the omission of data even when the data once transmitted is called back again since the information inconvertible into the common image format is kept as it is.
