Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a thermosetting resin compsn. for three-dimensional shaping which is lowly viscous and excellent in the sensitivity to heat curing and has a small volume shrinkage during the curing by compounding a thermosetting, cationically polymerizable org. compd. and a thermosensitive, cationic polymerization initiator as essential components. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting resin compsn. for three-dimensional shaping is prepd. by compounding a thermosetting, cationically polymerizable org. compd. (e.g. 3,4-epoxycyclohexylmetyl 3,4-epoxycyclohexanecarboxylate) and a thermosensitive cationic polymerization initiator {e.g. a sulfonium salt of formula I [wherein R1 and R2 are each a (substd.) hydrocarbon residue, and they may form a ring; A is a group of formula II or III (wherein R3 to R6 are each H or an aliph. group and at least one of them is the aliph. group; R7 to R9 are each an aliph. group and two of them may form a ring); and X<-> is a nucleophilic anion]} as essential components. The compsn. is lowly viscous, has good self-adhesive properties, an excellent sensitivity to heat curing, and a very small volume shrinkage during the curing, and gives a cured product with high mechanical strength.
