Abstract:

PURPOSE: To restrict thermal effect to a battery element at the time of sealing a battery, to eliminate degradation of the battery performance, to reduce the change of the battery shape at the time of bonding an insulator, to hold the quality of the battery, and to increase productivity by irradiating a laser beam on the surface of a current collector to bond the insulator and the current collector with one another.

CONSTITUTION: After a negative electrode active material 5 is printed in a partition part preliminary region 4 of the adhesive 3 of a negative electrode current collector 2, a high polymeric solid electrolyte 6 is printed thereon and is EB-hardened, on which a positive electrode active material 7 is printed and EB-hardened. The negative electrode current collector 2, the adhesive 3 on which a partition hole is provided preliminarily at a specific pitch, and a positive electrode current collector 8 are positioned and superimposed on each other so that the battery element on the surface of the current collector 2 is placed in the partition hole 4 of the adhesive. The battery thus provided is passed through the rubber roller part of a seal chamber, the upper and lower surfaces of which are formed of glass. A laser beam is irradiated in the seal chamber through the glass surface to bond the current collectors 8, 2 and the adhesive 3 with each other. A series of batteries are discharged from the roller part of the rear part. Sprockets 10 for feeding are provided on the current collectors 8, 2 and the adhesive 3, to carry out positioning.
