PURPOSE: To obtain the silicone rubber composition which can give a heat- shrinking cured product and is useful as a medical material by mixing a specified diorganopolysiloxane with a specified shape memory resin and a siliceous inorganic filler.
CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises a diorganopolysiloxane of the formula [wherein Rs are (substituted) monovalent hydrocarbon groups at least 50mol% of which are methyl groups and 0-50mol% of which are vinyl groups; and a is 1.85-2.10], a shape memory resin (e.g. polyurethane resin) of a shape restoration temperature of 30-60°C, a siliceous inorganic filler (e.g. Aerosil R-972, a product of Nippon Aerosil Ltd.) and desirably a silane coupling agent of the formula: YSiX3 (wherein Y is a reactive organic functional group; and X is a hydrolyzable group).
