PURPOSE: To automate the measurement of shape of a steel sheet and to improve the safety of work, the productivity and the quality.
CONSTITUTION: In this device, a line for conveying the steel sheet and a straightening machine 2 are provided. A primary shape measuring means 3 for continuously measuring the surface shape of the conveyed steel sheet is arranged at this side of the straightening device 2 and a secondary shape measuring means 4 for measuring the surface shape of the steel sheet after straightening with a pressing ram 5 is arranged to this pressing ram 5 arranged to the straightening device 2. The straightening condition with the pressing ram 5 is controlled based on the shape measured result with the primary shape measuring means 3. Further, a gantry type crane MC with magnet for hanging up the steel sheet, sending the steel sheet after straightening to the following process is arranged. By this method, the shape measurements of the steel sheet before straightening and after straightening, and the sending of the steel plate are automatically executed and also, the handling of the steel sheet can smoothly be executed.
