PURPOSE: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing carrier excellent in adhesive strength of the surface of a core particle to a resin coating layer and film formability and stably having the adequate range of resistibility and to provide a production method therefor.
CONSTITUTION: This carrier is a resin coated carrier made by forming a resin coated layer on the surface of a core particle by dry method using a resin particulate and the resin particulate is made of a fluorinated acrylate polymer obtained by emulsion polymerizing in the presence of a surfactant expressed by a formula, CF3(CF2)nCOOM (in the formula, M is a metal, (n) is 4-20) and the residual quantity of the surfactant in the resin particulate is 60-10000ppm. The carrier is produced by feeding the core particle and the resin particulate into a rotor type mixer and mixing and stirring with the intensity of 4-12m/sec peripheral speed of the rotor 18a-18c in the rotor type mixer to form the resin coated layer.
