PURPOSE: To enable a sloping plate to be extended from and folded into a vehicle by a switch-button operation.
CONSTITUTION: A sloping plate 1 is provided in such a manner as to be folded entirely into two, and is connected to the opening floor face of a vehicle at its front end by a front-end attaching hinge 4, and an expansion spring 7 is provided at time front end to constantly press and extend the sloping plate outwards from the vehicle, and a shape holding mechanism that tends to constantly fold and hold the sloping plate in a mountain shape is provided across the front and rear halves of the plate about a middle hinge 2, and a wire 11 is connected to a wire locking shaft 9 provided on one side of the rear half. The sloping plate unit for getting into and off the vehicle is related to a power mechanism 10 for winding and extending the wire, the mechanism 10 having a supporting member 12 whose points of application of forces for extension and pulling-up are set in positions above the floor face of the vehicle.
