Abstract:
PURPOSE:To efficiently recover heavy metal without influence of coexisting ion, by bringing a soln. contg. the heavy metal into contact with a chelating agent obtd. by decomposing the amidoxime group and/or the imidodioxime group as a functional group with aq. acid or alkali soln. CONSTITUTION:The chelating agent having the functional group(s) above- mentioned is treated by decomposing the group(s) at about 40-80 deg.C with the aq. soln. of mineral acid such as hydrochloric acid, or at about 70-110 deg.C with the aq. soln. of alkali such as NaOH. Then, the chelating agent obtd. by decomposing as above-mentioned is brought into contact usually at 10-100 deg.C with the soln. contg. heavy metal to recover the heavy metal by adsorbing on the chelating agent. According to the method above-mentioned, the coexisting ion hardly effects the recovering, and the concn. of heavy metal in adsorption equil. can be reduced in an aq. soln. having high concn. of salts.
