PURPOSE: To accurately measure the moisture content of a sample to be measured by directly vaporizing the moisture while the sample is kept in the sampling state.

CONSTITUTION: A lower base body block 11, heat-resistance thin film sheet 21 spread on the block 11, and upper base body block 31 in which a vaporizing space 32 opened toward the block 11 is formed and which is equipped with a leading-in means 34 which leads in a solid or liquid sample A to be vaporized together with a carrier gas, heating means 33 which is incorporated in the space 32 and heats and vaporizes the sample A, and leading-out means 35 which leads out the carrier gas containing a vaporized gas are provided. In addition, a lifting/lowering mechanism 4 which relatively brings under pressure the opening section side of the space 32 in the block 31 into contact with the lower block 11 through the sheet 21 is also provided.
