Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a moquette-like fabric, excellent in hand and touch with an inconspicuous change in appearance due to laid down naps by using multilobed flat fiber of mixed fiber of respective full dull and semi-dull fiber at a specific weight ratio or full dull/semi-dull (core/sheath) conjugate fiber in napped parts. CONSTITUTION:A moquette-like fabric is formed by using mixed fiber which is 8- to 14-lobed flat fiber consisting essentially of semi-dull fiber and full dull fiber at (70:30)-(90:10) weight ratio thereof or conjugate fiber prepared by constructing a core component from a full dull polymer and a sheath component from a semi-dull polymer as napping fiber.
