Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an optical repeater constituted so that loss caused in a main signal path in order to separate main signal light and monitor signal light is small.
CONSTITUTION: The optical repeater is constituted of a WDM 11 separating the main signal light and the monitor signal light, a WDM 12 separating the crosstalk light of the main signal light and the monitor signal light from the monitor signal light separated by the WDM 11 besides, and light receivers 21 and 22 for respectively monitoring the monitor signal light and the main signal light separated by the WDM 12.
