PURPOSE: To reduce greatly the effects of the ambient temperature change on various characteristics, by providing two plate springs to support elastically an optical barrel in both tracking and tangent directions via the guide plane of said optical barrel.

CONSTITUTION: The guide planes 7 are provided to the side face of an optical barrel 1 at the areas obtained by dividing equally said side face into 4 parts toward the circumference and along the longer side direction. A U-shaped plate spring 12 is in contact with the upper and lower parts to coils 8 and 9 of each plane 7 through both leg end parts 12A to support the barrel 1. When each driving coil 8 for direction B conducts, the barrel 1 moves toward B. In this case, flexure is produced in the two springs 12 which are positioned so as to be brought the part 12A into contact with the planes 7 with up-down movements of the coil 8. The same operation is secured also with electric conduction of a driving coil 9 in a direction C. In such a way, the plate springs are used in place of rubber to support the barrel 1. This process reduces greatly the effects of the ambient temperature change on various characteristics and also eliminates both aging changes and plastic deformation.
