Abstract:
PURPOSE: To heighten adhesion to a resin layer formed by extrusion molding and improve productivity by sequentially forming a protective covering layer formed by hot-dipping and a synthetic resin layer formed by extrusion molding on an outer peripheral surface of a steel pipe. CONSTITUTION: In manufacturing a multilayer protective covering steel pipe having an outer diameter of about 10mm to be used as pipe fittings for fuel of an automobile, a copper plated layer is formed on an outer periphery of a steel pipe 1, and a hot-dipped layer 2 is formed on the copper plated layer in a superposing manner. The surface of the hot-dipped layer 2 is treated with primer so as to activate the surface of the steel pipe. Thereafter, on the outer peripheral surface of the hot-dipped layer 2, a synthetic resin layer 3 is formed by extrusion molding. The synthetic resin layer 3 extrudes a synthetic resin into a cylindrical shape on the outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe 1 to be sent in the longitudinal direction in a state heated to about 100-260 deg.C by using a known extruder. The extruded synthetic resin is firmly adhered onto the hot-dipped layer 2 by an anchor effect, etc., on the surface of the heated steel pipe 1.
