Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a high-density print image stably for a long time by short- circuiting a developer conveying means and a developer supply means electrically and covering the insulating toner of a developer with conductive particulates of smaller size. CONSTITUTION:The nonmagnetic single-component developer 2 is conveyed to a development area by the developer conveying means 3 and supplied by the developer supplying means 4 to the developer conveying means 3. The developer supplying means 4 is arranged in contact with or nearby the developer conveying means 3 and both means are short-circuited electrically. The developer 2 contains the insulating toner and conductive particulates of smaller size than the toner and the insulating toner is covered with the conductive particulates. Thus, a constant amount of the developer is supplied stably to the development area and the electrostatic charge quantity of the toner is maintained stably for a long period.
