Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an on-line character recognizing device that can enlarge and reduce a writing area and add and reduce functions by setting a writing area and a function area based on a signal from a tablet section when an area setting mode is designated. CONSTITUTION:Setting of a writing area and a function area is made before writing characters, and the device is set to an area setting mode. When m0 row is depressed, an area designating section 7 judges that the m0 row and subsequent areas are function areas 8, and a recognizing process is made by a recognizing section 2 based on X, Y coordinate rows outputted from a tablet section 1. The result of recognition is displayed on a display section 3, and at the same time, stored in a memory section 4 through an operation key according to designated character forms and written character frames, and then outputted to external equipment such as a printer etc. through an interface section 5 and an output terminal 6.
