Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the number of reference image groups by making the correlative computation of the reference image groups and the image to be inspected in real time operation to constitute a feedback system. CONSTITUTION:This device has the 2nd optical Fourier transform means 5 which subjects two-dimensional distribution patterns to an optical Fourier transform and inputs the output thereof to the 1st image outputting means 1 and a photodetecting means 6 which detects the optical output from this transform means 5. The cross correlative relation of the image to be inspected and the reference image groups is determined and the intensity of the output light from the respective reference images in the 1st image outputting means 1 is subjected to a feed forward change by the output of the 2nd Fourier transform means 5 corresponding to the cross correlative relation. The influence of the image having the low cross correlative relation is, therefore, selectively eliminated and the exact identification from the many reference images is executed at a high speed. The number of the reference image groups is increased in this way.
