PURPOSE: To provide the machining method of a cylindrical member for eliminating hand works such as chamfering deburring, etc., requiring lots of man power and expense after the formation of a cylindrical part by making chamfering for preventing the generation of burr during a series of these processes in the case of forming the cylindrical part having notches on a part of the cylindrical member and cutting the inner diameter, etc., of this part.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of forming a cylindrical part 3 having notches 2 on one end side of a cylindrical member 1, after expanding once a part of the cylindrical member 1 at right angle to the member 1 by pressing work and forming the notches 2, chamfering 1c is applied by stamping around the expanded parts 1a provided with the notches so that a slope can be formed from a face which is a cut surface to the other face side. Then, the cylindrical part 3 having the notches is formed in such a way as raising the expanded parts 1a so that it can be formed to have a nearly prescribed diameter and by cutting the inner diameter or the outer diameter of the cylindrical part 3, the hand works such as chambering, deburring, etc., requiring lots of man power and expense after forming the cylindrical part can be eliminated.
