PURPOSE: To provide an elevator door device for automatically informing occur rence of abnormality in a drive device or a slide door.

CONSTITUTION: An elevator door device 6 is composed of a drive device 6 having wind-up transmission mechanisms 8, 9 for driving a slide door 5 for an entrance 1, a pulse generator 23 for generating a number of pulses in accordance with a degree of operation of the drive device 6, and an abnormality annunciator for informing an abnormality if the number of pulses which are generated by the pulse generator 23 when the slide door 5 is moved by a predetermined device 6 by a predetermined distance varies from a predetermined value. Accordingly, automatic occurrence of abnormality in a drive device 6 or the wind-up transmission mechanisms 8, 9 is automatically informed so as to eliminate the necessity of dispatching a worker to the site in order to check a condition of the door device. Thus, it is possible to facilitate the management of the condition with less manhours so as to reduce the costs of maintenance.
