Abstract:
PURPOSE:To permit the development of a designed performance, by a method wherein each halves of the cross section of an outlet gas duct at the side of the rotating direction of a rotary element for a regenerative air heater are provided with flow regulating plates having slant angle variable slant guide plates to mix outlet gas. CONSTITUTION:A half cross section at the side of the rotating direction 20 of a rotary element for a regenerative air heater 3 and a neighboring half cross section are provided with flow regulating bodies 11 having slant guide plates 12 so that the slant directions of the guide plates 12 are intersected at the center of the cross section of the outlet gas duct 23. The slant angle of the guide plate 12 is controlled by a guide plate driving device 14 based on the temperature of the outlet duct. According to this constitution, the exhaust gas 21 of a low temperature, which effected heat exchange between the exhaust gas of a boiler, and high-temperature exhaust gas 22, whose temperature has risen as a rotary element is rotated, are mixed sufficiently in the duct 23 whereby an uniform designed estimated temperature may be held, a designed performance may be developed and irregular deformation or thermal expansion may be restrained.
