Title:
SHUTTER FOR RADIATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5920522
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To automatically and properly control the opening and closing of a cooling air introduction regulating shutter in front of a radiator depending on the change in the air temperature or the like, by controlling the opening and closing of the shutter depending on the temperature of cooling water. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature of cooling water circulating through an engine 49 to cool it has risen on a high-temperature day or the like, a water temperature switch 45 provided in a radiator 35 is turned on. Subsequently, the inversion relay 43 of an electric control circuit 34 is turned on so that an exciting current flows from a power source 44 to a vacuum solenoid valve 39 on the side of a driver 33. As a result, the valve 39 is operated so that a valve element 40 is opened and a vacuum actuator 38 is opened to the atmosphere and expanded. Consequently, a linkage 37 is operated to open a shutter 32 to increase the quantity of air introduced by an electric fan 46. When the temperature of cooling water has dropped, the water temperature switch 45 is turned off to close the shutter 32 through the linkage 37.
