PURPOSE: To meet conditions of required characteristics and make the tasting value, price value and the like optimum and selecting the suitable blend rate of a specified taste value with a low cost and a specified cost value with a high taste value complying with the preferential order of tasting or price demanded for product rice.
CONSTITUTION: A blend rate finding means 3a of a blend rate determining device 2 is constituted for finding a group of suitable blend rates in which the values of respective product characteristic elements are close to desired values and the device is provided with a price forming means 3c for finding the price values of respective product rices and a tasting value forming means 3b for finding the tasting values obtained in the case where the product rices are produced in compliance with respective formed suitable blend rates. In the case of tasting preference, suitable blend rate of given tasting value and low price is selected as the optimum blend rate, while in the case of price preference, suitable blend rate of given price value and high tasting value is selected as the optimum blend rate, out of a group of suitable blend rates in compliance with the preference order of demanded tasting or price by a tasting and price reference optimum blend rate selecting means 3d.
