Abstract:
PURPOSE: To heat a furnace wall to uniform high temp. by using high temp. and high pressure gas in order to anneal the furnace wall of a nuclear reactor embrittled by the irradiation with neutrons by heat treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel support part and cooling water are drawn out of a nuclear reactor and a cylindrical shell structure 14 is arranged to circulate the high temp. and high pressure gas introduced from an inlet 8 through the annular space 16 between a furnace wall 4 and the shell structure 14. This gas is circulated so as to be partially discharged from an outlet 10 to heat the furnace wall to hold the same to high temp. for a long time.
